There have been several reactions to JAY-Z calling out The Recording Academy for their lack of awarding Beyoncé the Album of the Year Award. Beyoncé’s sister and fellow Destiny’s Child album, Kelly Rowland, is now weighing in. “Shawn Carter is one of the greatest men I know and his words ring so loud to me,” Kelly told Entertainment Tonight with a smile. “I couldn’t be more proud of him.” She added, “I’m just really happy for a lot of things that he said. I think that he made a lot of artists feel very seen and very heard in those minutes that he took on stage.” While some may view JAY-Z’s words as something that needed to be said, The View host Alyssa Taylor Griffin wasn’t impressed, saying, “I just don’t like… it feels like taking away from artists who are winning that night.”
