Thurgood Marshall

Today we recognize Thurgood Marshall. Known for his role in the landmark case Brown vs. the Board of Education of Topeka, Thurgood Marshall was instrumental in disassembling segregated public schools. His ideology was that separate is not equal, an idea that stands true today. Thurgood Marshall was also the first African American to serve as a Supreme Court Justice. Marshall fought against the discrimination of African Americans and his actions paved the way for racial integration and the civil rights movement. Jammin 101.5 proudly salutes Thurgood Marshall.
